C-Suite Status,
But Real Life Crisis

In 2024, I was a global C-Suite executive working with world-leading brands like Apple and Google. My life looked impressive on paper. The reality? I was on the brink of burnout – stressed, exhausted and questioning my purpose.
I was stuck in what elite performance expert Josh Waitzkin terms the 'simmering six' – that zone where I was getting the job done, but surviving rather than thriving. That 60% version of my true self.
I'd been a member of INSEAD business school's first ever executive coaching cohort back in 2018, so I had the self-awareness to recognize what was happening, but it also highlighted something else – that while leadership is more demanding than ever, the support systems are stuck in the past.
Let me explain...
Desperately Searching For Solutions
I'd been a junior martial arts champion and had also boxed as an amateur so I've had a lifelong fascination with high performance and the power of the right mindset.
When I studied elite performers in sports and the special forces, I witnessed the transformative impact of an integrated approach – one that combines the power of the human mind with the advances we've made in science, technology and data to allow for sustained high performance.
Executives and entrepreneurs are the elite performers of the business world, but when I looked at leadership development and traditional coaching everything seemed stuck in the 1990s. The disconnect was glaring – I knew there had to be a better way.
In my quest for answers, I became increasingly drawn to neuroscience – here was hard evidence showing how your cognitive performance is critical to your ability to lead at your best, as it affects your
ability to:
- •Handle stress
- •Be sharp and decisive under pressure
- •Regulate your emotions
- •Solve complex problems
And it also proves that everything is connected – if your 'hardware' isn't optimised (not sleeping well, eating badly, not exercising consistently), your 'software' (mind) will struggle.
Prime Performance Unlocked
That's when I realised the answer to helping the 'athletes' of the business world show up at their best requires an integrated team behind them:
- •Neuroscientists to work with them on optimizing their life
- •Executive coaches to work with them on cultivating an elite mindset.
Prime is defined as:
the state or time of greatest vigour or success in a person's life.
We've built the performance system that can help any leader reach it.
